Bio: Yu Maeda explore new forms of visual expression in my paintings, sculptures, and animations, moving back and forth between the East and the West, including the influences of Western lowbrow art and psychedelic art, and Eastern mandalas, Buddhist art, and animism.
I use simple circles, straight lines, and curves to reconstruct the complex and organic shapes of nature and living things, creating images that can be viewed from multiple perspectives.
