INNER COURSE (Rya Kleinpeter and Tora López) developed the Softing methodology as a way to limber up the mind of their audience participants. Softing was first performed in 2011, as a key facet to their performance: “Panties For Diamonds - A Psychodramatic Audition For Love In The Age Of Abandonment” at Honey Space, NYC. Variations of Softing have been performed within projects including: “Total Body Burden” at Museum Of Old And New Art, Tasmania, AU (2014); “Incidents In Romance Technologies 101; Making Love Out Of Nothing At All” at Alaska Projects, Sydney, AU (2014); Cold Castle at Family Business, NYC (2014); and “Soft Remote” at Signs and Symbols, NYC (2019).
