This piece is from a series about making it through suffering. Not necessarily overcoming or even surpassing but simply finding a slight opening that was otherwise incredibly blocked. Exploring intimacy, tension, vacancy, fantasy, and sexuality both within and without relationships that may or may not cause suffering. 
 

 The bananas recur as both symbols of deception and nourishment, gifts and illusions. The tulips recur as symbols of spring, new beginnings and life from a once dormant place.
