"BLEX" By Virgen Maria

Blex is the first single from Virgen Maria’s debut EP ‘G.O.D.’, created together with her collaborator Naive Supreme and perth Daijing (2018). From the beginning the Blex video was doomed. Rejected on every platform due to the extreme censorship that follows Maria around since the beginning of social media. This made it impossible for the 'Blex’ music video to see the light of day until summer 2020 when Only Fans became more accesible for people. Before that it had only been displayed at Sonar Festival in 2019 and Roundhouse London just before Covid lockdown. Blex is a concept birthed by Virgen Maria which mixes together the words 'Bless and Sex’. The track that accompains the Blex concept is a hardcore upbeat, lled with orgasms-avant garde-blexes and Maria chanting her catchphrase 'Im Virgen Maria and I’m here to Blex you, Blex’. The video, directed by Maria features her pets Copi and Perfect (RIP) as a way of including the animals in the same spotlight as the human, equal beings and not food, go vegan.

Hailing from Madrid artist and performer Virgen Maria (Maria Forqué) is here to ‘blex’ you. A thin line between art and music is drawn every time Virgen Maria manifests her blexing powers, a cocktail of sex, hotness, sweat and spirituality. Maria seeks to explore the depths of the human mind and expressivity with her work, as reflected on her first EP ‘G.O.D.’ -The good- all the way to the reggaeton extravaganza of ‘DEVIL’ -The bad- and kicking this new era with her latest work ‘$€XXX’, the Human. Virgen Maria blexes the listeners with many collaborators including her co-producer A.K.A. Naive Supreme and features her favourite voices from the scene such as Tomasa Del Real, DJ Sustancia, Kid Lucilfer. Her pioneer vision to mix meditation and sex through music has caught attention across the globe, leading her to perform both in person and as a holograph across Asia, America and Europe. Meanwhile her aesthetic and conceptual art has already led to collaborations with the likes of Fenty, Gucci, Vetements and Camper, as well as performing live at both the MOMA and MIRA’s Festival’s ASMR campaign. Speaking on her unique style, Virgen Mariá says “the concept of my shows is to join God & Sex. I spread rising consciousness messages & the love for our naked body. I want everyone to know we are all God & that naked we are closer to our godliness.
