Tangential Asmara in the Present ::

A nation’s liberation permits a rare opportunity for societal construction, one without the limitations brought on from the previous structures. Eritrean women encompassed over 30% of Eritrea's guerilla force between 1961 and 1991. Set in a parallel timeline, this piece explores an alternative post-war Eritrea where traditional roles are obliterated. Women--and Eritrea--take advantage of this newfound agency.
